About Dankie

Hi, I’m Dankie—a professional vinyl nerd, cardstock whisperer, and certified shadow-box builder (self-certified, but still). After more than 15 years working in the sign and wrap industry, I traded in client chaos and car wraps for cardstock and crafting chaos—and honestly?

Best trade ever.

I’ve spent my career designing, printing, weeding, laminating, colour-calibrating, and installing vinyl for everything from signs and storefronts to full vehicle wraps. I’ve worked with brands like Oracal, Avery, and 3M, and I still geek out over ICC profiles and adhesive specs. But somewhere between cutting the same five signs over and over and explaining for the millionth time that “no, I can’t install vinyl in -10c” I realized I wanted more.

That “more” turned out to be exactly what my muse told me to do, whether it was a layered Zelda shadow box or some math-inspired spiral that broke Illustrator for an hour.

Now, I make premium digital cut files for people who want their Cricut or Silhouette to actually do cool stuff. I don’t use auto-trace. I don’t pump out 5-minute clipart garbage. Every file I sell is something I designed, layered, and built myself—with a focus on detail, dimension, and delightfully nerdy themes.

I believe crafting is supposed to be fun and empowering. That’s why I also write free guides to explain the stuff most tutorials get wrong—like why your vinyl won’t stick, or how cardstock weight actually matters (yes, really). I’m not here to gatekeep. I’m here to help you learn the why so you can troubleshoot on your own—and maybe even feel like a badass while doing it.

If you’re here for:

  • Clean, original SVGs (especially if they’re Video Game-themed or weirdly math-based)
  • Honest, no-fluff guides written by someone who’s actually worked in the industry
  • A crafting community that values doing things right, not just fast…

…then welcome. You’ve found your people.

Now if you’ll excuse me, my muse is yelling something about glitter cardstock and I probably shouldn’t ignore it.
